Debt issuance allows City of Maryville to move forward with capital projects

The Maryville City Council passed a few ordinances at their last meeting.

The major item at the meeting on November 25th was a debt issuance that will allow the city to move forward on several capital projects.

Maryville City Manager, Greg McDanel, says this will help with the design of phase one and phase two of the South Main Project, as well as several other projects.

"To acquire new downtown traffic signals and potentially join 911 equipment.  So this moves forward and allows us to continue to move forward with those projects."

The Maryville City Council meets again on December 9th.
